Cleopatra Beach is a wonderful bay located on the opposite side of the biggest lagoon in Marsa Matrouh. In fact, its clear waters surrounded by rocks. They give the impression of a vast, square pool. According to the legend, Cleopatra came to bath with her lover, Mark Anthony. Ruins of one of her palaces uncovered on the hillside opposite the pool. It seems that a subterranean passage leads from the “villa” to the beach. It perhaps allows cozy midnight swims!
