Day 1 of Cairo Alexandria Fayoum tour: Cairo

Cairo Alexandria Fayoum tour day 2: Cairo
Breakfast will be at the hotel before we start Cairo Alexandria Fayoum tour day 2. The day will be a full day tour to visit Sakkara, 28 Km southern to Giza. Over there you will also visit the Step Pyramid of Zoser. In fact, the pyramid is the first one which built in Egypt. And then, we head to Memphis, the first capital of Egypt. Over there you will see the huge statue of King Ramses II lying on the ground losing his arm. Lunch will be at a local restaurant. And then, we continue to Giza to visit the Great Pyramid of Cheops which built by manual labor.

Breakfast will be also at the hotel before we start Cairo Alexandria Fayoum tour day 3. The day will be a full day tour to the world famous Egyptian Museum. In fact, the museum features 100,000 objects covering 4,000 years of ancient Egyptian civilization. The objects also include of course the treasures of Tutankhamen. Lunch will be also at a local restaurant. And then, we will visit the Citadel of Salah El Din, built between 1176 and 1182 A.D. The Citadel fortress indeed provides a panoramic view of Cairo from the Moqattam hills. Furthermore, the Citadel complex includes the Alabaster Mosque of Muhammad Ali.
Cairo Alexandria Fayoum tour also includes a visit to Old Cairo. Over there, we will visit the Hanging Church and Ben Ezra Synagogue. We will also have a look at Amr Ibn El Aas Mosque. In fact, the mosque is the first mosque which built in Egypt. Continue to Khan El khalili Bazaars which date back to the fourteenth century. We will then be back to the hotel. Overnight will be also at the hotel.
Gala dinner on a cruising restaurant down the Nile. The cruise sails for 02 hours including belly dancer show. Moreover the program also includes folklore show, horse dancing show and based on open buffet dinner.
Cairo Alexandria Fayoum tour day 4: Cairo – Alexandria – Cairo
Breakfast will be also at the hotel before we start Cairo Alexandria Fayoum tour day 4. Drive for about 3 hours to Alexandria city, known as the Pearl of the Mediterranean Sea. The tour will begin by visiting Catacombs at Kom El Shoqafa. The Catacombs consist of three tires hewn out of the rock at a depth of 100 feet. Then, there will be a short visit to the Pompey’s Pillar. It is a huge granite pillar which dates back to 297 AC. Proceed to visit the Roman Amphitheater which built during Ptolemaic times. This era known as the Pan and Roman baths whereas villas and amphitheater built. Today you can see this theater with its marble seating for 700-800 person. Gladiatorial games were once held here later chariot races.
Lunch will be at a local restaurant. Continue to visit Al Mursi Abu Al Abbas mosque which is the most famous mosque in Alexandria. En route, we will pass by Qaitbay Fort. And then, we will visit Alexandria Library and Nabi Daniel mosque. On the afternoon, you will have an overlooking for the most exquisite beach. The beach is on the eastern tip of Alexandria. Moreover, it surrounded by and extremely large garden. Garden is unique in its harmonious combination of flowers with wood and trees. This is El Montaza Park, the summer iridescence of ex-royal family of the King Farouk. He was last king of Egypt. The Palace gardens cover an area of some 150 acres of flowers, trees and palms. Drive back to Cairo. Overnight will be at the hotel in Cairo.
Cairo Alexandria Fayoum tour day 5: Cairo – Fayoum – Cairo
Breakfast will be also at the hotel before we start Cairo Alexandria Fayoum tour day 5. Today we will drive for about one hour to Fayoum Oasis. In route, we will visit the Pyramid of Meidum which was originally a seven-stepped Pyramid. It later enlarged to become an eight-stepped Pyramid. Eventually the steps filled in and a smooth outer facing turned it into a true pyramid. It is a huge structure and surrounded by the debris from the casing which collapsed. The Pyramid started by Huni, the last ruler of the 3rd dynasty and then completed by his successor Seneferu. Seneferu was the first king of the 4th dynasty Pharaoh (2613–2494 BC).

Drive to Fayoum Egypt’s largest oasis which overlooks Qarun’s Lake. The lake is a popular spot for hunting and fishing. You will have the chance to see Fayoum Waterwheels, the old way of irrigation in Egypt. Lunch will be at a local restaurant. Proceed to visit Roman site of Koum Ushim (Karanis) which poses an ancient market. It also poses an ancient oven for backing. It gives a good idea about normal life in the Roman period. The city once housed two limestone temples and a large angora. Drive back to Cairo. Overnight will be at the hotel.
