Holy Family Journey tour Egypt including Cairo and Alexandria tour starts by arrival at Cairo airport. There will be meet and assist by our representative through the formalities and customs. The day will be a full day tour to visit Sakkara. Sakkara is 28 Km southern to Giza. In fact, it is where you will see the Step Pyramid of Zoser, the first pyramid has built in Egypt. And then we will visit Memphis, the first capital of Egypt. Over there, you will see the huge statue of King Ramses II lying on the ground losing his arm. And then, we will, continue to Giza to visit the Great Pyramid of Cheops which built by manual labor.
In fact, the pyramid is the largest of the three main Pyramids. Moreover, it is the only survivor of the Seven Great Wonders of the Ancient World. Continue to visit Pyramid of Chephren which is the best preserved. And then, we will visit the Pyramid of Mycerinus. Nearby see the Great Sphinx, a marvelous sight carved out of a natural rocky outcrop. Furthermore, the lion’s body stretching 45 m, with its paws 15 m long. Lunch will be also during the tour at local restaurant. And then, we will learn how paper made in the ancient times. It will be through a visit to the Papyrus Institute followed by a short visit to a Perfumery workshop. Dinner and overnight will be also at the hotel.
Holy Family Journey tour Egypt day 2: Cairo
Breakfast will be at the hotel. The day will be a full day tour to the world famous Egyptian Museum. The museum features 100,000 objects covering 4,000 years of ancient Egyptian civilization. Moreover, the objects include the treasures of Tutankhamen. Lunch will be also at a local restaurant. Then we will visit Hanging Church and Ben Ezra Synagogue. And then we will visit Cave church.
The church dug in the mountain. Moreover, it is one of the largest churches in Egypt. It is a place where 70,000 plus Christians gather every week to worship and praise Jesus. It is home to one of the world’s oldest Christian communities. The cave, also known as the Monastery of Saint Simon. It located in the Mokattam mountain in southeastern Cairo. Continue to Khan El Khalili Bazaars which date back to the fourteenth century. Back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight will be also at the hotel. br> br>
Dinner on a cruising restaurant down the Nile. The Nile cruise sails for 02 hours. The trip program includes belly dancer show, folklore show and horse dancing show. Dinner based on open buffet
Holy Family Journey tour Egypt day 3: Cairo – Tal Basta – Dakadous – Sakha
Breakfast will be also at the hotel. Drive to Tal Basta. Visit St. Mary’s spring which started to flow when Jesus passed by.It surrounded by ruins of an ancient Pharaonic temple. “Behold, the Lord is riding on a swift cloud comes to Egypt. And the idols of Egypt will tremble at his presence” (ISA 19:1). Drive to Dakadous. Visit St. Mary’s church which built on top of two churches dating back to the 4th and the 13th centuries. Lunch will be also at a local restaurant. Drive to Sakha. Visit St. Mary’s church and the footprint which left by the Holy Child on a rock. Back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight will be also at the hotel.
Holy Family Journey tour Egypt day 4: Cairo – Alexandria
Breakfast will be also at the hotel. Drive for about 3 hours to Alexandria city, known as the Pearl of the Mediterranean Sea. The tour will begin by visiting Catacombs at Koum El Shoukkafa. The Catacombs consist of three tires hewn out of the rock at a depth of 100 feet. Then, there will be a short visit to the Pompey’s Pillar. It is a huge granite pillar dating back to 297 AC. Proceed to visit the Roman Amphitheater which built during Ptolemaic times. This era known as the Pan and Roman baths whereas villas and amphitheater built. Today you can see this theater with its marble seating for 700-800 person. Gladiatorial games were once held here later chariot races.
Lunch will be also at a local restaurant. Continue to visit Alexandria Library . On the afternoon, you will have an overlooking for the most exquisite beach . It is on the eastern tip of Alexandria, surrounded by and extremely large garden. Garden is unique in its harmonious combination of flowers with wood and trees. This is El Montaza Park, the summer iridescence of ex-royal family of the King Farouk. He was last king of Egypt. The Palace gardens cover an area of some 150 acres of flowers, trees and palms. Holy Family Journey tour Egypt day 5: Alexandria – Cairo
Breakfast will be at the hotel. Drive back to Cairo. In the midway we will stop at Wadi El Natrun to visit Baramous monastery and St. Bishoy monastery. We will also visit Suryan monastery and St. Macarius (Abu Makar) monastery. Lunch will be also at a local restaurant. Continue to Cairo. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight will be also at the hotel.
Holy Family Journey tour Egypt day 6: Cairo – Mostorod – Matareya – Zeitoun – Old Cairo – Maadi
Breakfast will be also at the hotel. Drive to Mostorod, where Jesus caused a water spring to flow. Proceed to Matareya where the Holy Mother washed the clothes of her son. From that water, God caused a fragrant plant to grow, “Balsam”. And then we will visit Virgin Mary’s Tree. Drive to Zeitoun to visit St. Mary’s church where the Virgin Mary appeared. It was on April 1968. Continue to Old Cairo where the Holy Family stayed in a cave for some time, which became a part of St. Sergius church.
Lunch will be also during the tour at a local restaurant. Drive to Maadi to visit St. Mary’s monastery and church on the Nile river. It is where an open bible found floating and whereas the Holy Family started their trip to Upper Egypt by boat. We will have the chance for Felucca riding on the Nile from same point they sailed to Upper Egypt. Drive back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight will be also at the hotel.
Holy Family Journey tour Egypt day 7: Cairo – El Minya
Breakfast will be also at the hotel. Drive to El Minya city, 248 kilometer southern to Cairo. Upon arrival, we will visit Al Teir Mountain. It is where a huge block of stone was about to fall on the boat of the Holy Family from this mountain. The Virgin Mary frightened. Jesus stretched his hand and prevented the rock from falling and left his palm print on it. This rock is now in the London Museum. Lunch will be also at a local restaurant. Then we will visit St. Mary’s Church & Monastery. It is also called the Cave church. There is an altar in the cave where they stayed. Check in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight will be also at the hotel.
Holy Family Journey tour Egypt day 8: El Minya – Asyut
Breakfast will be also at the hotel. Drive to Beni Hassan’s cemetery, which dates back to the second millennium BC. Proceed to Tell El Amarna. It is well known because of its association with Akhetaten, the monotheist. Drive to Asyut city. It is 138 Km southern to El Minya city to visit Al Muharraq monastery where we will visit also the Holy Virgin Church. The Holy Family stayed for six months and some days there, it is the first church established in the world. “There shall be an altar to the Lord in the land of Egypt”(Isaiah 19:19).
Lunch will be also during the tour at a local restaurant. There is a ROCK where Jesus was sitting on. And St. Joseph was sleeping on when the angel appeared to him and told him to go back to Jerusalem. It was in a hut where Joseph had the dream in which the angel of the Lord appeared to him. He informed him of Herod’s death. He ordered him to take the Holy Child and his mother and return to the land of Jerusalem. “out of Egypt I called my son”(mat 2:15)( hos 11:1). Dinner and overnight will be also at the hotel.

Breakfast will be also at the hotel. Today we will also visit Dronka monastery at the mountain of Asyut. It is where a cave in that mountain is, which they stayed for some time in. The monastery is about 10 kilometers from Asyut city. It situated on the west bank of the Nile.It is one of the most unusual monasteries in Egypt. Moreover, it also believed to be one of the last destinations visited by the Holy Family. It was on their journey through Egypt. From here they started their trip back to Jerusalem. Lunch will be also during the tour at a local restaurant. Drive back to Cairo. Upon arrival Cairo, check in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight will be also at the hotel.
