Day 1

Arrival at Cairo airport. Meet & assist through the formalities and customs . Transfer to hotel for check in

Day 2

CAIRO                                                             (BLD)

Breakfast. Full day tour to visit the Great Pyramid of Cheops which was built  by  manual  labor,  is the largest of the three main Pyramids and is the only survivor  of  the  Seven  Great  Wonders of  the  Ancient World, the Pyramid of Chephren, which is the best preserved, and the Pyramid of Mycerinus. Nearby  see  the  Sphinx,  a marvelous sight carved out of a natural rocky outcrop, the lion’s  body  stretching 45m,  with its paws 15m long. Lunch at local restaurant. Learn how  paper was made in the ancient times with a visit to the Papyrus Institute. We will  also  have  a  chance to stop off at a Carpet Factory to see how the Egyptians weave their carpets, followed by a short visit to a Perfume Workshop .  Dinner. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3

 CAIRO-TAL BASTA-DAKADOUS-SAKHA-ALEXANDRIA          (BLD)

Breakfast. Start to visit the Coptic Sites that were visited by the Holy Family in lower Egypt. Drive to  Tal Basta. Visit St. Mary's spring which started to flow when JESUS passed by. Surrounded by ruins of an ancient Pharaonic temple. “Behold, the LORD is riding on a swift cloud comes to Egypt, and the idols of Egypt will tremble at his presence” (ISA 19:1)  Drive to Dakadous. Visit St. Mary's church which was built on top of 2 churches dating back to the 4th  & the 13th Centuries. Lunch on route. Drive to Sakha. Visit St. Mary's church. In this village the Holy child left his foot print on a rock. Proceed to Alexandria.  Check in hotel. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 4

ALEXANDRIA                                                   (BLD)

Breakfast at hotel .Visit Greco-Roman  Museum, Pompey's Pillar, Catacombs of Kom El Shogafa and Roman Amphitheatre. Lunch during the tour. At Leisure. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

ALEXANDRIA -CAIRO                   (BD)

Breakfast at hotel. Drive back to Cairo (220 km) with a visit to a Coptic monastery In Wadi EL Natrunon the midway to Cairo .Arrive Cairo and check in  hotel. Dinner and overnight at hotel

Day 6

CAIRO -MOSTOROD-MATAREYA-ZAITOUN-OLD CAIRO-MAADI (BLD)

Breakfast . Drive to Mostorod, where Jesus caused a water spring to flow. Proceed to Matareya where the Holy Mother washed clothes of her son, and from the water God caused a fragrant plant to grow, "Balsam”. There we will also visit St. Mary's tree. Drive to Zaitoun. Visit St. Mary's church where the Virgin Mary appeared on. It was on April 1968. Proceed to Old Cairo  where the Holy Family stayed in a cave for some time, which became a part of St. Sergius church . Lunch during the tour. Drive down to Maadi to visit St. Mary's monastery and church on the Nile River where an open bible was found floating. This is where the FAMILY started their trip to Upper Egypt by boat. Felucca ride on the Nile from same point they sail to Upper Egypt .Back to hotel for dinner and overnight.

Breakfast at hotel. Drive  to El Menya city(248KM).Visit Al Tair Mountain. where it was  a huge block of stone was about to fall on the boat of the Holy Family from the mountain. The virgin was frightened but Jesus stretched his hand and prevented the rock from falling and left his palm print on it. (This rock is now in the London Museum). Lunch during the tour. Visit St. Mary's Church & Monastery (It is also called the cave church. There is an altar in the cave where they stayed). Dinner and overnight at hotel.

EL MENYA-ASSIOUT                                                   (BLD)

Breakfast at hotel. Drive to  Bani Hassan's  cemetery , which dates from the second millennium BC. Proceed to Tal El Amarna  which is well known because of its association with Akhnaton, the monotheist. Drive to Assiout (138 KM) to visit Al Moharraq Monastery where we will visit also the church of the Holy Virgin. The Holy Family stayed for six months and some days there, it is the first church was established in the world. “There shall be an altar to the LORD in the land of Egypt“(isa19:19). Lunch during the tour. There is a ROCK where Jesus was sitting on. And St. Joseph was sleeping on when the angel appeared to him and told him to go back to Jerusalem. It was in a hut where Joseph had the dream in which the angel of the Lord appeared to him and informed him of Herod's death and bided him to take the Holy Child and his mother and return to the land of Jerusalem. ”out of Egypt I called my son”(mat 2:15)( hos 11:1) . Dinner and overnight at hotel
 

ASSIOUT-CAIRO                           (BLD)

Breakfast at hotel. Visiting Dronka Monastery at the mountain of Assiout, there is a cave in that mountain which they stayed for some time. And from here they started their trip back to Jerusalem . Lunch at local restaurant. Drive back to Cairo. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Cairo.

Day 10

CAIRO-YOUR DESTINATION                               (B)

 Breakfast . Transfer to Cairo airport for departure to your destination.  Home Sweet Home
